Technology and content rights are different
IPTV describes a delivery method. It does not establish whether a particular offer has permission to distribute each programme. Check the offer and seller rather than judging only by the name of the player. The same technology can be used by services with different commercial and distribution arrangements.
A player licence is not evidence of rights
An application can display content from many sources. Its presence in an app store, paid activation or visible channel list does not prove that a provider has the necessary rights for every programme. Likewise, access to a reseller panel does not establish that all channels can be redistributed in every country.
Ask who sells the service
Request the seller’s identity, offer conditions, included programmes and countries where the service can be supplied. Availability and rights can vary by programme, territory and time. Before paying, confirm the total price, access period, connection limit, support and refund arrangements. A technical trial does not confirm every condition of a sale.
Read catalogue labels correctly
Our catalogue organises descriptive names into types and country or language groups. A French-language category does not establish territorial permission, and a film appearing in an inventory does not guarantee permanent availability. Ask us to confirm the programmes you need in your country before ordering.
Where to continue your checks
Arcom publishes information about audiovisual offers and content protection at arcom.fr. Consult current official resources when checking an offer. If you need advice about your own legal situation or a reseller business, speak with a qualified professional. This guide provides general questions, not a legal determination that a particular service is authorised.
