Are you replacing a television or preparing for a trip? Before copying your settings, check the conditions of your access. A subscription does not automatically become available on several devices just because a player can be installed on each one.
The rule to remember
Each Smartless Player subscription covers one device and one connection. Do not use the same link on two devices. Doing so can result in access being blocked, even when both devices belong to the same household.
This is a subscription rule; it does not mean that a device always has a unique, permanent public IP address. Several devices can share a router’s public address, and that address can change. Follow the agreed device arrangement instead of trying to infer permission from the network you happen to be using.
Replacing a television or streaming box
Before deleting the old configuration, contact support with the old and new device models. Include the name of the player you use. This allows compatibility to be checked and the appropriate procedure for a device change to be explained.
A player licence may have its own transfer rules, separate from the subscription. Do not assume that a previous application purchase automatically moves to new equipment. Keep useful confirmations and clarify what must be renewed or reconfigured before paying again. Taking these steps before removing the old setup can make the transition easier.
Adding a second screen
If two people need to watch on two screens, ask about separate subscriptions for that use. Do not share the access link in a family conversation or leave a copy of the configuration on a device that you no longer use.
The displayed offers are €15 for one month, €55 for one year and €85 for two years, for one device per subscription. Choosing a longer duration does not increase the permitted device count. Confirm the intended arrangement before payment, especially if you are helping another household member set up their own screen.
Preparing for a trip
Before departure, tell support your destination country and the device you intend to use. A country appearing in the catalogue does not by itself confirm that access or every programme is available there. Usage conditions and local network restrictions may differ.
Hotel and public networks may limit certain activities, require a browser sign-in page or provide variable speeds. Do not change access details to try to bypass these restrictions. Ask for help if the service does not work within the agreed conditions. It is easier to clarify the arrangement before travelling than after removing a working configuration.
Keep access information private
Treat playlist links and codes as personal access details. Do not publish them in reviews, forums or screenshots. Avoid saving them in shared documents or on public computers, where another person could view or copy them.
If you believe an access detail has been exposed, contact support to ask what action is possible. Before selling or giving away a device, remove personal information according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Review the subscription options and contact us before changing screens: a short conversation can prevent an avoidable interruption.
